Privacy Policy

This policy explains how personal data is handled when you visit the Aulot Games website, use its language selector, play Palisade on Steam, itch.io, or Google Play, or contact Aulot Games about Palisade.

Aulot Games is a Finnish private trader (Business ID 3582585-4) and is the controller of personal data in the correspondence described in this policy.

Palisade does not create an Aulot Games account, collect analytics or telemetry, send crash reports, serve ads, or use in-app purchases. Aulot Games does not run a game server, and the game does not send personal data to Aulot Games.

Campaign progress, settings, and the selected language stay on your device. To choose its first language, the game reads the language preferences of your system, browser, or Steam client; they stay on the device.

Opening Settings and choosing Privacy Policy loads this page in your browser. The game does not receive data from that visit.

The Steam versions use the Steam client on your computer for achievements, Steam Cloud, and multiplayer. For this, the game reads your Steam ID and Steam name. If Steam Cloud is enabled in Steam, Steam syncs your campaign file between your computers; settings are not synced.

To show which friends are online or hosting a Palisade lobby, the game reads your Steam friends list with their Steam names, small avatars, and Palisade lobby status. This information is shown only in your game; the game does not store it or send it to Aulot Games.

In multiplayer, players in the same lobby exchange Steam IDs and game data and see each other’s Steam names and avatars. While you are in a lobby, Steam can show your friends that they can join you. Lobbies are not publicly listed: players join through a Steam invite or a room code. Steam may connect players through Valve’s relay network or directly; a direct connection lets other players’ computers see your IP address. Aulot Games does not receive this multiplayer data.

If you save a multiplayer diagnostics file, it is written only to your computer. It contains the game version and technical connection events, not Steam IDs, names, or IP addresses. It reaches Aulot Games only if you send it, and is then handled as email correspondence.

Aulot Games sees aggregate Steamworks reports, such as sales, wishlists, and achievement completion rates. They do not identify individual players.

The Palisade Android demo and the full Palisade Android game are distributed on Google Play. Android backup and device transfer are disabled.

The full Android game uses Google Play Games Services for achievements. Google may sign you in automatically with your Play Games profile and processes your achievement progress under Google’s terms. The game learns only whether you are signed in, not your profile or player ID. The demo does not use Google Play Games Services.

Google Play independently processes installation, update, and device-compatibility information under Google’s terms. Aulot Games sees aggregate Google Play Console reports, such as installs and achievement completion rates, and cannot identify individual players from them.

The browser demo on itch.io stores campaign progress, settings, and the selected language in your browser’s local storage. The game loads only its own files and makes no other network requests. itch.io processes your visit under its own privacy terms.

Aulot Games uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand aggregate traffic, referral sources, and site performance. Cloudflare says this service does not use cookies or collect or use visitors’ personal data. Aulot Games receives aggregate reports and does not identify or profile visitors. The site does not create Aulot Games accounts, serve advertising, or sell personal data.

The language selector stores only a locale code in local storage in your own browser. It contains no identifier or activity history and is not sent to Aulot Games.

If you email Aulot Games, you voluntarily provide your email address, message, and any other details you include. They are used only to answer your inquiry, maintain necessary correspondence, and meet legal obligations.

Cloudflare hosts the website and provides Web Analytics. Steam and itch.io provide game and platform services. Google Play distributes the Android games and provides Google Play Games Services. They may independently process connection, account, multiplayer, achievement, cloud-save, security, install, update, crash, or usage data under their own privacy terms. Aulot Games does not control that processing.

Depending on the context, correspondence is processed on one or more of the following legal bases: the legitimate interests of Aulot Games in answering inquiries; taking steps at your request before entering into a contract; compliance with legal obligations; or your consent where applicable. Correspondence is kept only for as long as necessary for those purposes or to meet applicable legal requirements.

Where the GDPR applies, you may request access to, correction or erasure of, and portability of your personal data, or restriction of its processing. You may also object to processing and, where processing relies on consent, withdraw that consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before it.

  • You may complain to Finland’s Data Protection Ombudsman or another competent supervisory authority.

Reasonable measures are used to protect correspondence. No transmission or storage method is completely secure. The website and Palisade apps are not directed at children for the purpose of collecting personal data, and Aulot Games does not knowingly collect children’s data through the site or the apps.

Cloudflare, Steam, itch.io, Google Play, and linked sites may process data in other countries under their own safeguards and terms. External links take you to services controlled by others; review their privacy notices.

This policy may be updated when the website, Palisade services, or legal requirements change. The effective date above identifies the current version.
